The China Automotive Industry Association recently released its 2015 ranking of major automobile enterprises in terms of sales volumes. GWM, with sales of 852,700 units ranked 8th among national automakers. GWM SUV and pickup won national sales champions in the two segments once again.
Sales of GWM have doubled over the last five years. The annual sales volume of GWM in 2010 was just 397,400 however, the figure doubled in 2015.
GWM has been crowned champion in sales of domestic pickups for 18 years in a row based on its Wingle series, which has consolidated its leading position in China's pickup market.
Focusing on research and development to manufacture state-of-the-art automobiles through domestic and overseas cooperation, GWM opened its first overseas technology research and development centre in Japan on January 12 2016.
